From Ken Ditkowsky on the need for more courtwatchers —

A few years ago here in Illinois the League of Woman Voters sent their members out to be ‘court watchers.’ The Court watchers reported some of the outrageous actions that were evident is some of the Courts. The constant pressure brought a measure of reform that has since dissipated. The Court […]

  1. I have hired Court Bystander Reporters to sit in on my foreclosure case due to the corrupt and incapacitated judge’s use of narcotic pain meds and chronic alcohol use. When my daughter was still around, she would sit in on hearings and write up a report that I used to substitute corrupt judges that demonstrated actual prejudice and bias. The use of these bystanders accomplishes two goals: 1. To intimidate the judge into being impartial. The corrupt judge I am fighting is intimidated just by the bystander being in the hearing taking notes 2. One can then file a Petition to Substitute a Judge for cause to show actual prejudice and bias using the Bystander Report. I have removed several judges using this technique. Also file a complaint with the JIB. The JIB has a poor history of disciplining judges, but it does let the judge know you are there to fight. I represent myself, pro se for the last 20 years and know our corrupt judicial system well.

  2. I agree that we need a pipe line of court watchers. I also think that the court proceedings should be publicized using the media-news for all to see on tv etc. Al lot of times they commit fraud and lie about it because they can get off with your word against theirs, That is why they do not want telephones and tapes etc in the courtroom. So even doctor up transcripts and remove things that said on the record.

  5. My target is a large bullseye on my back. Court watchers, or Bystander Reporters are hard to come buy. I currently have two that I pay $50/hour to sit in on court hearings and take notes. One of the watchers is not very reliable, but he does a good job in taking notes. The other one I recently hired has yet to prove herself. I have placed adds on Craigslist and the local newspaper with little success. Most responded with a good resume and they work full time. My add clearly states that this is a per diem job. If they can’t read an add, they most likely can’t take notes. But, this judge is clearly intimidated by their presence. I recently filed a complaint against this judge with the JIB, which is a joke. A dirty lawyer gets elected as a judge by an election that is uncontested because the majority of folks have never been in court, and have no idea of the corruption that is inherent. I highly suggest filing a complaint with the JIB, then file a petition to substitute the judge and have a well dressed person sit in on the the next hearing. I am currently writing a petition to sub this judge which was decided ex parte while I was visiting my daughter in California. The plaintiff called up my PETITION while I was gone. Illinois Supreme Court Rule 184 only allows for either party to call a MOTION for a hearing, not a Petition. Please read, In Re Marriage of O’Brien which explains the difference. Also read the Illinois statute which show a petition to sub judge for cause and a motion to sub a judge as of right.

  6. I know the feeling. I can’t prosecute any case in state or federal court. I have Reinhard in Rockford and Mills in Springfield that hate me. And many more in the 2nd and 5th appellate courts.
